Adam's Timeline - Birth to 1998

April 22 1992 

Adam Peter Lanza is born in Kingston, NH

April 29 1992 

Adam is taken back to the hospital after having some sort of episode where he stopped breathing. 

1994 

This is where he first gets entered into the system for special needs children. One of the main concerns appear to be language development issues. 

1995 

Adam starts pre-school in Kingston, and was receiving special eduction support services. He was undergoing speech and occupational therapy. 

1997 May 

Special support services were stopped at this time, on the basis that the problems he had were not thought to impdede his ability to learn.  - SANBORN REGIONAL SCHOOL DISTRICT

Despite this determination, a neurological-developmental evaluation noted that he had repetive behaviors and severe temper tantrums. He was also noted to have an aversion to physical contact. He would sit and hit his head repeatedly. He had trouble tolerating textures to the point where he even refused to dress.

His parents went and sought an independent evaluation, which lead to special services being re-instated. This evaluation also put sensory intergartion disorder on the table to explain some of his behaviors.

He was also noted to have inconsistent eye contact and scattered motor skills. Seizure activity had apparently been reported, but it was unknown if this was epilepsy, fainting episodes, or something else. It seems those issues did not receive any medical diagnosis. 

1998 

The family moved to the Sandy Hook area of Newton, Connecticut after Adam’s father accepted a posistion with General Electric.

Later that year, Adam would enter 1st grade at Sandy Hook Elementary.
